Traditionally winter is long, if not harsh, in Detroit.

It is pretty common to have up to 8 or 9 months of grey skies leaving a few glorious summer months of sunshine. I am a night creature but as I grow older the need and absorption of sunshine is becoming all too important. Earlier this year I had decided to change my 'normal' reaction to winter and reprogram myself. The year was spent doing many sigils, enochian workings, group astral experiments with a little down home sorcery thrown in.

With great pleasure I can announce that I have just successfully coloured my grey. Thursday at approximately 3:00pm I was informed by the puppets in my company that my boss no longer required my services and that I was to vacate the premises immediately. No reason, no purpose other than I didn't fit the mold.

What does this mean?

I get unemployment. I've been trying for the better part of the year for this exact thing. They pay, I play. Selling my car. No spending. Making music. Freelance video artist. Design for fun again. Valet a couple times a week. Acting workshops. No more advertising. The evil and bane of my existence has been banished. I don't think I can express my joy at this moment. I now can do anything, not because I was fired but because my head has been forced into a new place. If you're into Castaneda, then my assemblage point has moved.

So this winter, this grey is bright and cheerful. I showered before I went out that evening singing joyously "I'm gonna wash that grey right outta my hair!!!!!" Perfect timing for N14. I think i'm going on a road trip funded by my ex-employer. If anyone is interested i'm planning an east coast trip from NY down to Florida, then a little later a trip out west.

On that note:

The Detroit node has grown by a few more people. I believe we have seven now. We will have something put together soon enough. I have quite a bit of extra time to dedicate to it.
