SYNCHROPHRENIA
I bumped into a Discordian last Winter
who introduced me to the concept of
SYNCHROPHRENIA (as opposed to schizophrenia). I loved the idea immediately.
To my understanding, if schizo implies breaking apart, than synchro
implies coming together. I loosely defined synchrophrenia as the abilty to
hold many mutually exclusive, contradictory and/or nonsensical ideas/beliefs
in tandem with each other, WITHOUT fear of mental breakdown.
